Categorizing your product can help your customer browse your shop easier and help you manage your products.
1. Click “Add” to start adding categories for your products.
2. As more categories are added, you can change the order of how your categories will appear in your shop by dragging the icon of the category. For example, you want your category “Dresses” to appear at the top and “Accessories” to appear last. Just click on the icon and drag and drop.
3. Set the default category. Whatever appears first in your Category tab will be the default view in your store. In this case, “All” is arranged in the top order; hence by default, all of your categories are displayed once you visit your shop.
Create sub categories (Blouse) by choosing the main category (Tops) as the parent category as shown in the example above.
Once you are done adding categories you need, click and proceed to the ‘Products Tab’. Please note that categories without products in it will not be displayed in the shop front.
Tips: Having more categories make it easier for your customers to browse your shop. Too many categories, however, will lead to confusion and a general sense of messiness. The categories should also be clear enough for your customers to understand. To know more about sub category and parent category, click here.
