Currency
Display currency, default currency, and acceptance currency
Shoppers can check out using any of the currencies that have been selected as Acceptance Currency. If the currency is not selected as Acceptance Currency but is in the list of Display Currencies, the customers will not be able to check out.
The acceptance currency should include all the currencies in the Payment Gateway, which are Paypal and DragonPay. The acceptance currencies will be selected automatically.
Below are some examples to help you understand better the difference between the currencies.
First scenario: Paypal
Default currency: SGD
Acceptance currency/ Payment gateway: SGD
The currency used for checkout will be SGD.
Second scenario: DragonPay
Default currency: SGD
Acceptance currency/ Payment gateway: PHP
Customer checkout would not be applicable, as the acceptance currency is different from default currency.
Third scenario: DragonPay
Default currency: SGD
Acceptance currency: SGD, PHP
Since the acceptance currency is SGD and PHP, the checkout is accepted. However, since DragonPay can only hold payments in PHP, the currency used for checkout would be PHP.
